To access the trail, drive north from Helen, GA on GA17/75 for a mile. Turn left on Alt 75, cross the river, and take an immediate right onto FS44. After 2.9 miles, you'll reach the Game Check Station where you can park. If you see a church on 75, you've gone too far.While the trail is rated as very easy, don't underestimate the aerobic challenges posed by the long climbs. Although the area lacks actual singletrack options, the gravel grind and surrounding scenery make up for it. And who knows?
