Detailed Trail Description

The Spokane River Walk is generally considered an easy trail because it is well-paved asphalt. The smooth surface is a perfect trail for anyone who is not ready for the rigors of a rough surface. The trail’s steepest section is at around 0.9 miles when riding counterclockwise.

The Spokane River Walk trailhead is in downtown Spokane. Follow the Spokane River Centennial Trail and take the first right turn. Continue riding towards the Donk Kardong Bridge to cross the Spokane River.

After crossing the bridge, veer slightly to the right and continue on the Spokane River trail. You may have to detour on your way, but stay on the course and continue riding towards Riverfront Park. Turn right towards the bridge on King Cole Way to start your return trip on the loop trail.

Stay on the trail and turn right on the other side of Riverfront Park. Continue riding straight along the park to follow the River Walk Loop Trail. Take in the lovely sight of the river as you ride through Gonzaga University.

Continue riding towards the trailhead to end your ride.
