Detailed Trail Description

Skidaway (Priest Landing) is a singletrack trail. This means that only one bike can fit on the path, making it difficult to overtake when biking. One of the important things you need to note is that this biking trail is a loop that starts and ends at the Priest Landing parking lot.

When you leave the parking lot, you'll see a marsh pond with birds and a densely rooted region on your left. When you go past this area, the trail splits into two parts. The left path, commonly known as the Priest Landing Alternate Route, has a difficult terrain, while the right one is easy to ride.

After some twisting, you'll return to the main route. Stay to the right and follow the marsh as the route unfolds. It bends through the woodland and out to the water's edge, with several bridge crossings.

On your way back, you'll come across the spaghetti bowl, which features simple pumps, drops, and leaps. These obstacles make biking quite fun.

As you approach the end of this trail, follow the inner track that passes through the pine forest. This is more laid-back compared to the marsh section, but it contains a wonderful rollercoaster and a few twists and turns.

For those who wish to repeat specific parts or avoid some obstacles, there are several little off-chutes that connect the inner forest path to the marsh trail.

Additional Trail Features

Skidaway (Priest Landing) has a spacious public parking lot, allowing it to accommodate many vehicles, and you can never miss a parking spot.

Another good thing about this trail is that you don't have to pay parking or entry fee. This makes it the ideal option if you're on a budget and you can reap the benefits of biking in a natural environment without spending any money.

Dogs are allowed on this biking trail and the good news is that they don’t have to be leashed. This allows you to enjoy biking with your pet, but it's not advisable since they may get tired quickly. Most importantly, you can access this trail from several points.
