Detailed Trail Description

Annadel Loop Alternative starts at the Spring Lake parking lot. From there, travel to Spring Creek Trail in Annadel via the Canyon Trail fire road. Just before the lake, there is a quarter-mile stretch that is tricky and steep. Nevertheless, this is the fastest route to Lake Ilsanjo since it's about 4 km from the Spring Lake parking lot.

The last section of this trail ends with a steep ascent containing a few switchbacks, and it brings you back to the starting point. This trail normally ends at Lake Ilsanjo. Take a right or left turn and go straight to the Lake Trail. From there, you can ride around the Lake and head to the Rough Go Junction or do a few leisurely circuits.

Ride on the Rough Go Trail for about 1.4 km until you come to the Orchard Trail. Although the terrain on the Orchard trail is not rough, you need expert riding skills. Take a right turn onto the Orchard Trail, and follow it for about 1 km until it loops back to the Cobblestone Trail. Turn left onto the Cobblestone Trail, and ride on for about 1.6 km until it meets up with the Rough Go Trail again. After that, turn right onto the Rough Go and follow it back to the Canyon Trail fire road, where you came from to reach the parking area.
